We are representing a rapidly growing PE backed start-up in Ipswich in the recruitment of an interim Systems, Finance & Process Lead. Backed by leading investors and guided by an ambitious leadership team, they are committed to building a world-class, scalable finance function. To support this journey, they are seeking a Workday Finance Processes & Controls Lead to drive the formalisation and optimisation of their finance processes and systems.

About the Role:

This is a newly created, high-impact role where you will work directly with the CFO and senior finance leadership to build and own a structured framework for finance policies, procedures, and system usage guides from the ground up.

You will:

  • Have the ability to translate complex finance workflows into clear, concise documentation suitable for training, onboarding, and audit reference.
  • Create detailed process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), control frameworks, and user-friendly Workday guides.
  • Collaborate closely with internal finance teams, Workday system administrators, and external consultants to ensure alignment with system capabilities, internal controls, and audit standards.
  • Play a pivotal role in embedding consistency, operational efficiency, and accountability across the finance function.

What We're Looking For:

  • Detail-orientated individual with a background in finance operations, internal controls, or finance transformation.
  • Experience documenting processes within Workday Financials (highly desirable).
  • Ability to translate complex finance workflows into clear, accessible documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, confident stakeholder engagement, and a proactive, structured approach to building processes.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
