Tax Specialist

The Role

As a Tax Specialist, you'll play a vital part in supporting the Private Client team with tax matters relating to estates and trusts. You’ll be the go-to person for:

• Identifying when tax returns are needed during estate administration.
• Preparing and submitting income tax and capital gains tax returns.
• Supporting with complex estate accounts and informal HMRC reporting.
• Working on trust tax matters, including 10-year anniversary calculations and compliance.
• Maintaining a clear and accurate register of tax-related cases.

This is a fee-earning role, and you’ll have your own annual billing target, with the flexibility to manage your own workload.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• 3–5 years’ experience in tax accounting (ideally within private client work).
• ATT or CTA qualification.
• Strong working knowledge of HMRC software and personal tax returns.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues alike.
