MacKenzie King are recruiting a temporary Project Accountant for a global technology company for an initial term of 4 months. This is a fully remote, home-based role open to candidates across the UK. 

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Assist in processing, collating, matching, and tracking case invoices while coordinating invoicing requests with the accounts department.
  • Review and enhance existing processes and procedures to align with client requirements.
  • Support the development of insurance relationships by reviewing current processes, resolving transaction issues, and addressing queries.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients and suppliers.
  • Actively contribute to regular assistance team meetings.
  • Identify and resolve issues, risks, and complaints to maintain business effectiveness, escalating when necessary.
  • Work independently, managing tasks and workload efficiently.
  • Collaborate across team functions to ensure accurate and timely task completion while providing appropriate support.

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to convert currencies accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
  • A curious and analytical approach, capable of understanding complex systems and workflows.
  • Proven time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to evolving operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, particularly in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
