£38,000 - £45,000 per annum

MacKenzie King are currently recruiting a Payroll Specialist for a well-respected company in the Colchester area. As a Payroll Specialist, you will use your experience and knowledge to take ownership of the company’s payroll function, working closely with both the finance and HR departments.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Running the end to end monthly payroll
  • Accurately updating employee records using the payroll software
  • Running payroll processes and reconciling reports
  • Managing the payroll administration of employee benefits
  • Answering a wide range of queries at varying levels of complexity
  • Collaborating with teams within the firm and external contacts

Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within payroll
  • Experienced using payroll software and Excel
  • Takes pride in quality of work and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
  • Strong initiative to take ownership of workload
