MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a well-established business that’s apart of a successful group of companies, based on the outskirts of Ipswich. As a Management Accountant, you will be confident producing management accounts packs and delivering clear financial analysis that supports operational decision making, whilst being on hand to oversee the transactional finance team.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Producing monthly management accounts, journals, and variance analysis
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly group schedules
- Analysing contracts and reporting standard vs actual performance
- Managing Sales and Purchase Ledger functions and resolving queries
- Capturing CIS transactions and preparing monthly returns
- Providing contract, project material analysis
- Assisting with budgeting, weekly forecasting and cashflow reporting
- Supporting statutory audit requirements
Qualifications and experience
- Experience in a management accounting role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
- Confident with month end processes and reconciliations
- Good Excel skills and experience using an accounting system
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other teams in the business
- Qualified or Part Qualified is preferable, but not essential
