MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant, on a years’ fixed term maternity cover contract, for a growing business that’s focus is on creating a sustainable future for all. Reporting to a Financial Controller, you will provide support in the preparation of Management Accounts and all aspects of the month end accounting process.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
- Maintenance of long-term forecasting models.
- Preparation of statutory accounts and supporting audit files.
- Supporting Managers to maintain budgetary control.
- Preparation of monthly OFGEM report.
- Ensure correct information is made available for reporting to Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and HMRC.
- Ensure cashflow forecasts are well managed.
- Reconcile control accounts and general ledger entries.
- To provide cover and deal with external supplier queries.
- To provide cover in the absence of the Assistant Management Accountants.
- To ensure that the correct process in followed from purchase order to payment.
Qualifications and experience
- Ideally Qualified ACCA/CIMA
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Ability to organise and manage your own workload to meet tight reporting deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
