A successful and growing business is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team in Ipswich. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a key position offering a broad remit across financial reporting, commercial analysis, team leadership and business support.

This role would suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, influencing decision-making and helping to drive business performance.

The Opportunity

As Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Director and senior management team by delivering accurate financial information and meaningful analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will also oversee key day-to-day finance activities and support the development of the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Deliver variance analysis and performance reporting.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
Oversee payroll and timesheet processes.
Support and mentor members of the finance team.
Drive improvements to financial systems, controls and reporting processes.
Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Manage VAT returns, including Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) requirements.
Support audit processes and liaise with external advisors.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and financial regulations.

About You

Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance position.
