MacKenzie King are excited to be supporting a group of companies to recruit a Management Accountant on a 14-month contract, covering maternity leave. As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role within a dynamic, supportive finance team delivering and presenting timely management accounts. After an initial bedding in period, this role offers a healthy hybrid working with an average of one day a week needed in the office based at either the Bury St Edmunds, Spalding or Lincolnshire sites.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Monthly management accounting, reconciling complex balance sheet codes with multiple tracking dimensions applying analytical skills, production of management data with associated analysis, presentation, and recommendations to the organisation.
  • Managing and improving day to day processes around Month End, Invoice posting & approval flow and other internal processes with stakeholders
  • Month-End Bank Reconciliations
  • Intercompany account management
  • Developing integrated consolidated reports for the UBOs
  • Driving and improving period end processes to deliver timely management accounts
  • All round assistance in the finance team, working with the Assistant Management Accountant
  • Reconciliations with complex supplier statements
  • Weekly Sales data download and posting
  • Bank Postings and Reconciliation

Qualifications and experience

  • ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified is essential
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Strong Excel Skills [Complex data management and formulas]
  • Experience in an SME and/or multi-site environment desirable
  • Experience of Xero, Dext/Apron type software desirable
