MacKenzie King are supporting an owner-managed group of companies in recruiting a Management Accountant to join their close-knit team. They are looking for a motivated Management Accountant that will drive and improve period end processes to deliver timely management accounts.In return, the business are keen to support the successful candidate through their professional studies, offering financial support and incremental pay increases as exams are passed.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Producing timely management accounts
- P&L production and analysis with full underlying Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Consolidated P&Ls, Balance Sheets and Cash flow statements for all companies [board pack]
- Invoice review & approval in Xero
- VAT Returns
- Coaching and communicating with the wider team including non-finance people
- Delivering training to internal teams
- Payroll
- Working with and mentoring the purchase ledger and bank reconciliation team
- Liaising with suppliers and other departments to ensure paperwork is in order
Qualifications and experience
- Experience in a similar role
- Studying towards ACCA/CIMA
- Excellent Communicator
- Strong Excel Skills [VBA and PowerQuery Desirable]
- Experience in an SME and/or multi-site environment is desirable
- Experience of Xero, Dext, Deputy, Payroll software is desirable
