MacKenzie King are excited to be supporting a reputable and well-respected service provider, based in Ipswich, to recruit a Management Accountant to support their growing team. As a Management Accountant you will work closely with the Finance Director to provide information to support decision-making for the senior management team and to meet all regulatory requirements.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for the group, including full analysis for the profit and loss, sales margins, and balance sheet.
- Job costing analysis.
- Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Calculation of monthly stock movement.
- Process month end accruals/prepayments/depreciation of fixed assets and to ensure the accuracy of fixed assets register.
- Oversees aged debtors and aged creditors. Ensure debt chasing and supplier payments are carried out as directed.
- Statutory requirements including VAT returns.
- Monthly CIS returns.
- Monthly payroll.
- Manage the accounts team and to ensure the required work standards are met.
- Ensure a good communication between the accounts team and the other departments within the company.
- Preparation of yearly audit files for the group.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and R&D reporting.
- Assist in improving internal controls, process, and procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). Qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
- Proven skills in Microsoft Office 365.
- Accuracy & Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Strong IT Skills.
