MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a Felixstowe based business who are about to embark on a new and exciting chapter which will accelerate their growth. Reporting into the Finance Director this newly created role will be key to providing both control and insight as the business develops moving forward.
- Management of two Assistant Accountants with some oversight of other finance roles to support the Finance Director
- Monthly management accounts preparation for the group, split by division, and providing insight, analysis and commentary on key variances.
- Preparation and reporting of budgets and forecasts, working with each division to interrogate and challenge their financial performance.
- Design, implement and maintain enhanced weekly and monthly reporting, including KPI dashboards for all companies within the group to support decision making.
- Aid the CFO in implementation of strategic plans and projects, including multi-site UK roll-out and finance systems upgrade.
- Manage the year end close and reporting, liaising with Auditors to finalise year end accounts.
- An experienced and commercially focused Management Accountant who has proven ability to create management information to help the business grow and aid operational decisions.
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA would be a preference but advanced stage part qualified will be considered.
- Ambitious and pro active, with drive and energy and an ability to challenge how and why things are done.
- Intermediate Excel skills are a necessity together with an enquiring mind and the ability to dig into the detail.
