MacKenzie King are looking for a versatile Interim Accountant to join our client, based on the outskirts of Colchester, as soon as possible for up to six months. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting experience who can support year-end processes and work on key projects, particularly around financial controls and historical data review.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with year-end processes, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
- Support financial control projects, including reviewing and tidying up historical data.
- Dive into transaction-level details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and present high-level reports for senior management.
- Work collaboratively across teams to improve financial processes and controls.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Proven accounting experience within a fast paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills – able to analyse large datasets, create reports, and work with formulas.
- Ability to balance detailed transactional work and high-level reporting.
- A problem-solver who can work independently and take initiative.
