MacKenzie King are delighted to be working with a family owned business in Hadleigh, Suffolk to recruit a Head of Finance. Reporting directly into the Managing Director you will work with the leadership team to ensure the company's financial health. This will involve leading the finance team and managing all aspects of financial control and reporting, while reporting the long term profitable growth objectives of the business.
You will work with the department managers to help set budgets and provide ongoing reporting, challenge and feedback to ensure the business has full transparancy and control. As part of a growing business you will be expected to be able to initiate and implement new processes and ways of working to ensure our financial operating effectiveness.
- Contribute to the achievement of the company's objective by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
- Oversee and control the company's annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met, and financial and statutory regulations complied with.
- Management of financial systems and resources - to include the assessment, identification and implementation of appropriate improvements.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of insightful management information - to include weekly reports, monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts, budgets and forecasts, relevant indicators of business performance (KPI's)
- Ensure cash is available to meet operational and capital demand and manage a reliable short and long term forecast.
- Support the Managing Director in all financial projects, such as capital investement plans.
- The management, coaching and development of the finance team.
You will be a qualified Accountant with previous experience within a manufacturing business or similar. Ideally you will have previous experience of managing, mentoring and coaching a team as well. You will be a key member of the senior management team and will need the drive, ambition and energy to challenge the status quo.
Generous holidays - minimum of 29 days including Christmas shutdown and birthday leave, plus the usual bank holidays.
