MacKenzie King are supporting a privately owned large organisation in the recruitment of an interim Financial Controller for a 12-18 month fixed term contract. We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientated Financial Controller to join this dynamic team.
You will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organisation, providing financial guidance, and ensuring the integrity of financial information.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Oversea the maintenance of accurate and up to date accounting records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Take ownership of the production of management accounts, offering insightful commentary and analysis to aid informed decision making.
- Prepare and review annual budgets and forecasts, aligning financial goals with strategic plans.
- Prepare weekly and long term cashflow forecasts.
- Supervise payroll, purchase ledger, credit control and management accounts through 4 direct reports.
- Evaluate KPI’s on a monthly basis, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Attend monthly management meetings, presenting financial updates and contributing to discussions on financial strategies and goals.
- Lead, manage and develop the finance team of 10, fostering a collaborative and high performance work environment.
Qualifications and experience
You will be either a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or qualified by experience with previous man management experience. As a confident communicator, you will have proven track record of providing valuable input into monthly management meetings. As a strategic thinker, you will help to drive business growth, identify cost opportunities and lead a talented finance team. This is your chance to make a significant impact!
