Financial Accountant

Key tasks and responsibilities

Duties will be varied to include:

• Complete account reconciliations, review and clear balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis maintaining appropriate documentation to support audits.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records.
• Contribute to group-wide finance projects.
• Assist with the monthly Group reporting process ensuring all elements are completed in the consolidation.
• Interpret and implement financial accounting/reporting policies, standards, procedures, timetables and the requirements to the financial teams.
• Assist in preparing the Companies financial statements that reflect the financial position, including the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
• Support the Financial teams with analysis and interpretation of financial information.
• Review accounting papers on technical accounting issues, including industry specific themes, considering different options and approaches.
• Monitor the company’s financial transactions, including sales and expenses, to ensure they are accurate.
• Conduct audits to ensure that a company's financial records are accurate and comply with applicable regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns.
