MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a well-respected organisation in Kelvedon that provide a vital service to the public. As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for the production of statutory accounts, other government returns, and being the point of contact for auditors.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional support and guidance to the organisation in setting, monitoring and managing capital budgets and financial plans, and ensuring compliance with current legislation and internal policies.
  • To manage the annual accounts closure programme including production of the accounts and accompanying notes and working papers for the organisation.
  • To support in the preparation of annual capital budgets and forecasts and to provide the organisation with monthly capital monitoring reports.
  • To support all users of finance systems to achieve business needs.
  • To ensure the timely and accurate completion of statutory returns for government departments, agencies, funding sources and associated bodies.
  • To be responsible for National Fraud Initiative (NFI) portal maintenance and submissions as well as Payment Card industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) audit.
  • To support with both external and internal audit queries.

 

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • CIPFA/ACA/ACCA qualified is advantageous
  • Experience in the preparation and submission of statutory returns
  • Experience in the preparation of Year End Accounts
  • Experience dealing with budget management in liaison with budget holders
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas and engage people
  • Ability to work autonomously and hit deadlines
