MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Director of Finance & Operations for a registered charity that is part of an enviable national network. Reporting into the Chief Executive you will play an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team who are responsible for the organisations strategic financial planning, governance, administration, IT and human resources.

The plans for the organisation are to be high performing with high quality business and digital systems, processes and ways of working that improve efficiencies. This will involve developing new tools to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders as well as supporting the health and wellbeing of the team. They are committed to digitalisation, sustainability and minimising the impact on climate change.   

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Lead the Finance and Operations team

- Lead the integration and development of digital programmes and applications that support internal/ external relationships, finance and communications. 

- Develop, review and implement appropriate policies and procedures for operational support.

- Provide strategic financial advice and information to the Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership team.

- Manage relationships with investment managers, banks and auditors to ensure safeguarding of the assets and reputation of the organisation.

- Maintain all financial control systems in line with the organisations objectives and to comply with statutory obligations.

- Act as Company secretary

- Manage the Organisations payroll and pension provision and obligations.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

- A qualified accountant with experience at senior level of working with a board and senior leadership team, preferably with experience beyond financial performance into broader operations.

- A strategic leader with an excellent understanding of good governance and risk management.

- An efficient, organised, digitally literate champion of sustainable systems and processes.

- A positive, kind, civil role model who understands the impact of culture of the performance, health and wellbeing of a team.

- An ambitious individual with a passion for Suffolk's diversity and its communities.
