MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Credit Controller for a highly successful local business based in Woolpit. This close knit and supportive business are looking to welcome in a new member of the team to take ownership of the Credit Control function and really make it their own. The right candidate will be someone who can make best use of the knowledge of the rest of the team to approach customers in the right way to manage the ledger successfully. Previous Credit Control experience is highly advantageous however not strictly necessary for someone with the right attitude and willingness to lean.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Outbound calls to ensure debts are paid in a timely manner
- Posting of customers payments
- Daily allocation of cheques/BACS to the correct accounts
- Requesting remittance advices
- Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Send statement requests in a timely manner
- Copy invoice requests
- Credit-check new customers
- Deal with all Sales Ledger queries
- Provide support to the rest of the accounts team
Qualifications and experience
- High attention to detail
- Great customer service skills
- Able to build strong relationships with customer and colleagues
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft and accountancy software
