MacKenzie King are recruiting a Credit Control Manager to join a large, private equity backed business, based in Ipswich. As a Credit Control Manager you will manage and oversee the credit control function, this will include the development of credit policy and procedures, ensuring key cash collection targets are achieved, as well as team development. You will be deadline driven and take a hands-on approach managing and supporting the team.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of 9 based in Ipswich and India
- Oversee and manage the outsourcing team and vendor relationships
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve credit control issues, billing discrepancies, and other account-related challenges.
- Manage vendor credit control processes, ensuring timely payments and effective dispute resolution.
- Oversee self-bill customer accounts, ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing and payment tracking.
- Drive improvements and address inconsistencies in the billing process.
- Analyse financial data, generate reports, and track key performance metrics.
Qualifications and experience
- Experience working for a large business and managing a large team
- Managing outsourcing team/ relationship
- Problem solving skills for credit control items, accounts etc.
- Vendor credit control management
- Experience of self-bill customers
- Track record of producing outstanding results
- Very good Excel skills
