MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join an established business in the Bury St Edmunds area. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the transactional side of the accounts whilst taking on duties to support with the month end process. This is a great opportunity for an AAT qualified individual to play a key part within a dynamic, forward thinking finance function. This role offers a hybrid working model with travel to the Bury St Edmund office a minimum of one day per week after probation.
• Invoice posting & approval flow with stakeholders
• Bank reconciliations and payment runs (typically monthly)
• Some management accounting – reconciling balance sheet
• Intercompany Management
• Driving and improving period end processes to deliver timely management accounts
• Invoice processing, review & managing stakeholder approvals workflow
• Payment run processes
• VAT Returns
• Monthly balance Sheet & Work in Progress reconciliations
• Shared Inbox Management
• All round assistance in the finance team
• Reconciliations with supplier statements
• Weekly Sales data download and posting
• Bank Postings and Reconciliation
• Completion of weekly Cash/Credit Card/Cash reconciliations
• Monthly petty cash reconciliations
• Experience in a finance function
• Qualified to AAT L4 or higher
• Excellent Communicator
• Strong Excel Skills
• Experience in an SME and/or multi-site environment desirable
• Experience of Xero is desirable
