MacKenzie King are proud to be working with a well-established and growing business based in Ipswich, to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress within finance, gaining exposure to management accounts, reporting, and analysis within a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Support the production of monthly management accounts
- Assist with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Help with budget tracking and basic variance analysis
- Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting
- Process supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger
- Raise sales invoices and support accounts receivable activities
- Assist with payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Support credit control and allocation of incoming payments
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage shared inboxes
- Assist with system administration and process improvements
- Provide general administrative and team support as required
Qualifications and experience
- Exposure to month-end processes including reporting, prepayments and accruals
- Experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a busy workload
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- AAT Level 3 and above, with progression encouraged
