MacKenzie King are working with a leading business based in Woolpit that are expanding their high performing and supportive finance team with the addition of an Accounts Assistant. We have partnered with this organisation on several occasions and are confident that the successful candidate will benefit from exceptional professional support, development opportunities and a clear pathway to achieving their career ambitions. The ideal candidate will have either achieved or be currently studying towards AAT Level 3 and will be highly motivated to complete their qualification before progressing towards ACCA or CIMA. Previous experience within a busy purchase ledger function or a broader Accounts Assistant role is essential.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate production of payment runs (weekly and monthly)
- Ensure timely and accurate production of weekly reports
- Deliver the purchase ledger close within 2 working days
- Maintain a tidy ledger
- Ensure timely faster payments to support Port One
- Any task reasonably requested by Managers or Directors of the business
Qualifications and experience
- Previous Accounts experience
- AAT level 3
- Numbers/logic oriented, diligent, personable, friendly and supportive of the wider team and business
