Cheryl is Co-Owner and Director of MacKenzie King, having set up the business in late 2011, with a view to offering a tailored, honest and genuine approach to finance recruitment across Essex and East Anglia.
Cheryl spent 16 years working for the UK’s largest specialist recruitment business and has always concentrated on finance recruitment, at all levels, for both permanent and temporary positions. As a result of this she has an enviable network of both clients and candidates who she has worked with over a number of years. As a Regional Director for the business, she was responsible for 13 offices across Essex and East Anglia.
In her spare time Cheryl looks forward to holidays with her husband and two boys and enjoys going to the gym, without her husband and two boys. That’s her time to exercise and unwind!
Catherine is Co-Owner and Director at MacKenzie King, having joined in 2012.
Gaining 12 years’ worth of recruitment experience, Catherine has enjoyed recruiting for both SMEs and corporates from entry level up to CFOs. During her time working for the largest specialist recruiter in the UK, she managed various teams throughout Suffolk. Prior to her career in recruitment she worked as a Management Accountant for a FTSE 100 business and studied CIMA. Catherine has an extensive network of both candidates and clients. She takes great pride in her work, ensuring that she gets to know her candidates and clients well and treats them as individuals.
Out of working hours Catherine enjoys a hectic family life with her husband and two young children. Catherine enjoys running for fitness and raised over £1000 for her last charity race where she achieved a personal best time, something she hopes to beat again this coming year! For fun, you’ll find Catherine socialising with friends over a glass of wine or two.
With over 7 years experience in the finance industry as an AAT qualified Accountant, Lois is utilising this knowledge at MacKenzie King in the recruitment of transactional and part-qualified opportunities in Suffolk. She adopts a very open and honest approach to recruitment which allows her to quickly understand the needs of the clients and candidates ensuring a successful match. Lois is a tenacious and driven individual, who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone’s recruitment experience is as unique as the individual.
In her spare time Lois has a strong passion for travelling, exploring new cities, meeting new people and enjoying the local cuisine. Also, as a keen animal lover, a walk in the woods ending at a local pub with her husband never goes unmissed.
Hayley joined MacKenzie King in June 2015 having gained ten years’ experience within the recruitment industry working as an Office Manager for a technical recruiter in London.
She initially joined as team PA before moving into the role of Accounts Coordinator. She provides accountancy support to the Essex, Ipswich and Kent office and has become quite a Xero expert!
Away from work Hayley is busy looking after her 3 small children and in her (rare) spare time she enjoys holidaying in the sun and a glass of wine with friends.
Kathryn is MacKenzie King’s Recruitment Administrator.
After living and working in London for 20 years, Kathryn moved to Ipswich in 2017 and her position at MacKenzie King also marks a change of direction professionally, following a career working in talent management as an agent for actors, including being a director of her own agency.
Relocating to Suffolk has given Kathryn the opportunity to pursue her favourite hobby, horse riding; she recently passed Stage One of the British Horse Society Complete Horsemanship award and is dreaming of one day owning her own pony!
