Temporary Credit Controller

MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Temporary Credit Controller for a well-established business in Ipswich, on the White House Industrial Estate. The successful candidate will have experience within a similar function, contributing to the smooth running of the company’s Sales ledger, helping maximise their cash flow position by ensuring our levels of debt are kept to a minimum. This role will be on a rolling contract with opportunity to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Pre-debt monitoring and chasing.
  • Overdue debt chasing.
  • Communicating with customers via telephone, e mail and letter.
  • Monitor report and apply interest payments for late payment.
  • To have primary responsibility to validate change of tenancy details for new incoming customers to ensure accurate customer set up to support prompt payment and maximise cash flow.
  • Tracing customers and confirming information via different media, to support Change of Tenancy process and debt collection process.
  • Work closely with Customer Service Executives, Sales Teams and Credit Risk team to ensure cash flow maximisation is achieved whilst maintaining our high level of Customer Service.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of Customer Service and IT skills in MS Office, Outlook, Internet.
  • Proven Debt Management Skills and Experience.

Desirable Experience:

  • Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Debt Management procedures.
  • GCSE Maths & English.
