MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant to join an innovative business, based in Ipswich, with a global mission that focuses on sustainability. As a Management Accountant you will support the Finance Director in creating a high functioning finance function responsible for all financial reporting and management accounting activities.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare year end working schedules
- Prepare year end taxation working papers
- Prepare monthly management accounts and associated working papers
- Track actual performance vs operating plans
- Post bank payments and receipts
- Manage the bank reconciliation
- Manage the purchase and sales ledger
- Prepare VAT reports ready for submission.
- Enhance and further develop the internal controls of the business
- Manage and safeguard assets and inventory
- Analyse financial results and make recommendations to improve operational and financial performance
- Maintain and constantly evolve the finance system, ensuring all key business processes are fully documented and understood
- Maintain and improve internal controls around purchasing to include purchase order process and goods receipting
Qualifications and experience
- Studying towards AAT level 4 is a minimum requirement
- Strong IT skills, to include Microsoft Excel
- Motivated to learn and pick up new skills
- Adaptable with a can do attitude
