MacKenzie King are recruiting for a Management Accountant to support the finance team for a global financial services business based in Ipswich, ensuring the company policy procedures are adhered to. As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting the Financial Controller to deliver financial and management information to various stakeholders of the business.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Support in the production of monthly management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and other analysis as required.
  • Revenue accruals/deferrals, cost accruals, prepayments, recode journals, payroll and fixed asset accounting as well as IFRS16 management and journals.
  • Responsibility for the preparation and control of all month end reconciliations and support production of the Management Reporting pack.
  • Responsibility for all Account Payable tasks including raising PO’s, matching invoices to PO’s, reviewing PR’s and employee expenses. 
  • AP Payment runs.
  • MI & Payment Practices Reporting.
  • Manual payments.
  • System maintenance including creation of new BP’s. 
  • Responsibility for all Accounts Receivable tasks including raising sales invoices, credit control and resolution of client queries. 
  • Cross border intercompany invoicing and transactions.
  • Support in the production of cash forecasting and cash management. 
  • Support and assist with Tax and Vat postings and control.
  • Support and assist with the yearend audit process to ensure completion of the annual audit and delivery of statutory accounts.

Qualifications and experience

  • AAT Qualified/Studying towards ACCA/CIMA
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level
  • Team player attitude
  • VAT experience would be advantageous
