MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Officer for a well-respected organisation, based on the outskirts of Ipswich. As a Finance Officer you will report to the Finance Director and be responsible for producing day to day financial information to management reporting level. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with strong transactional experience to grow and develop into producing management accounts and assisting with transforming the organisation’s finance function.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Manage Purchase and Sales ledgers.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and petty cash.
- Reconciliation of Funds between the CRM system and accounting software.
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and associated reporting.
- Creation of fund statements.
- Preparation and submission of Gift Aid claims.
- Process BACS payments.
- Preparation of Year End Audit documentation.
- Payroll preparation.
- Liaise with clients, investment companies and suppliers, responding to emails, enquiries, and telephone messages.
- Support in providing general finance administration.
Qualifications and experience
- AAT Qualification desirable
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team
- Highly organised & methodical with excellent attention to detail
- A strong communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of Sage 50 would be advantageous
- Payroll experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to be discreet and handle sensitive information
