Finance Assistant

MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Assistant on a 6 month temporary basis for an organisation, based in Ipswich, where wanting to make a difference is at the heart of what they do.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing of the Accounts Payable invoices and creating central paylists
  • Coding of the invoices correctly
  • Creating purchase orders when required
  • Processing of the staff expenses
  • Maintaining control accounts
  • Aged Debtors & Creditors report and analysis
  • Keeping up to date for Rates payments and claims
  • Credit Card reconciliations
  • Dealing with any supplier queries
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • To be responsible for the maintenance and updating of procedures for all roles performed
  • Assistant with Internal transfers
  • Monthly VAT returns
  • Ad hoc finance work as required

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Good knowledge of finance processes and procedures
  • 1-2+ years of an accounts payable/receivable experience
  • Good Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
