Credit Control Manager

MacKenzie King are recruiting a Credit Control Manager for a successful business, based in Ipswich. As Credit Control Manager you will manage and oversee the credit control function, this will include the development of credit policy and procedures, ensuring key cash collection targets are achieved, as well as team development

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Credit control management experience
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience is essential
  • Proven ability to manage and forward plan within a fast paced, demanding and constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to address and resolve day to day business issues with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level numeracy, literacy and IT skills especially Excel
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines
  • Maintain good customer relationships of new and existing business
  • Excellent communication
  • Strong team player
  • Be able to demonstrate a professional and positive attitude to new business challenges
  • Ability to support and motivate others

Key Functions:

  • To oversee team performance in the credit control function within the agreed deadlines
  • Regular team briefings and encouraging communication with other departments
  • To work alongside the query team to help resolve issues collaboratively
  • Handling escalated queries and claims
  • Ensure the team achieves the agreed outputs via KPIs
  • To analyse team performance with a view to increasing productivity and accuracy with the support of the supervisors
  • Ensure issues with any Key accounts are escalated to senior management as soon as possible
  • Be a team player at all times, maintaining a positive attitude within the team, leading by example
  • Support Senior Manager in key tasks
  • Assist with the implementation of training across the department
  • Maintain the highest level of feedback to relevant Manager
  • Be proactive in resolving own and team issues, seeking out and sharing knowledge
  • Ensure uppermost personal knowledge of all areas of the credit control team
  • Collaborate with other managers to seek out and implement more efficient ways of working across the finance function
  • Always endeavor to help colleagues across the business, making themselves accessible to the team and wider business
  • Solutions led approach, ensuring correct working practices are followed
