Statutory and Regulatory Accountant

£40,000 – £45,000 + Bens

Essex 

We are recruiting for one of our international clients working from one of their operations in Essex. This is a great opportunity to work within a global organisation but in a local location.
You will be joining the centralized Financial & Regulatory Reporting Team and be responsible for the production of Annual Financial Statements, Regulatory reports and returns.
For this position the right candidate with be a team player with great communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to give clear and concise information to various departments and clients.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Interacting with clients to provide value added service through process improvement and query resolution aided by close working relationships with their offshore provider. Attending meetings with the client, when required. Assisting with projects and initiatives that present themselves.
Maintaining and meeting the client’s needs and service level agreements and quality standards for the support given to the client, including:
• Technical accounting query resolution and ad-hoc investigations/analysis as and when required.
• Preparation and control of legal entity quarterly forecasts for allocated countries and companies.
• Review and production of annual financial statements for active EMEA companies, including liaison with external auditors during the course of their annual audit. Preparation of annual company files, backing up disclosed numbers in the financial statements.
• Corporation tax and deferred tax calculations for group reporting and agreeing to local returns.
• European companies, including group tax reporting using one-source.
• Technical accounting query resolution and ad-hoc investigations/analysis as and when required.
• Preparation and control of legal entity quarterly forecasts for allocated countries and companies.

Key Skills:
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• Experience of Practice Accounting and Controllership environment
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver results to short timescales.
• Excellent IT Skills (including Excel and Word)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Accuracy with good attention to detail and ability to check work of self and others
