MacKenzie King are delighted to be supporting a large, successful business in Ipswich in the recruitment of a Group FP&A Manager. Reporting directly into the Finance Director your role will be to deliver financial support to this £100M+ Turnover business.

You will be expected to actively influence the performance of the business by providing quality business partnering, timely high quality management information, insight and analytics. This role will be full involved in all aspects of the P&L and balance sheet for the business which will include managing standard costs and inventory management.

Duties will be varied to include:

  • Act as business partner to the senior leadership team supporting overall achievement of the business and its strategic objectives while supporting delivery of the annual performance results including sales, operating profit and cash flow.
  • Act as a partner to the department heads providing variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Writing meaningful commentaries on performance including actual results and variances to plan, forecast and prior year.
  • Manage and develop the FP&A team.
  • As a key business leader, champion and identify continuous improvement initiatives, driving necessary change and improvement to enhance productivity, process improvements and automation leading to enhanced financial reporting.
  • Evaluation of proposed capital investments including financial analysis to assess feasibility and potential impacts of projects on the financial performance.
  • Completion of the annual strategic plan financials.
  • Coordinate and lead the forecast and operating plan.
  • Support the business in cost control to ensure the business remains focused on driving profitable growth.

As a qualified Accountant, you will have a proven track record of forging and managing effective relationships, be strategic and commercial in your approach and be able to manage multiple stakeholders.
