MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting an Accounts and Administration Clerk for an established, well-known company in Tilbury. As an Accounts and Administration Clerk, you will be working on the Sales Ledger whilst being on hand to help with other ad hoc finance duties.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Communicating our various customers, to obtain timely payments.
  • Account and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Weekly chasers.
  • Statement runs.
  • VAT returns.
  • Daily payment allocations.
  • Sending copy invoices & Passing supplier invoices.
  • Assisting in query resolutions where necessary.
  • Raising insurance Certificates for cargo.
  • Adhoc/Holiday cover for overseas accounts and purchase ledger duties.
  • Year End assistance.

Qualifications and experience

  • Proven successful track record of at least two years working in an accounts department (sales ledger preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and friendly personality.
  • Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Sage, and Excel.
  • Strong and dynamic team player.
  • Excellent Maths and English skills.
